Mount Batur Overnight Camping: Sunset, Sunrise, Hot Spring

Itineraries

1. 

   DAY 1 - 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM Pickup from Your Accommodation

   Our team will pick you up in the lobby of your hotel. The pickup time will be adjusted based on your location. For the Kuta/Seminyak/Nusa Dua areas, pickup is at 1:30 PM; for Sanur, at 2:30 PM; and for Ubud, at 2:45 PM.

2. 

   DAY 1 - 4:00 PM Arrival at the Starting Point in Serongga Village (Songan)

   Upon arrival at the starting point of the Mount Batur hike, we’ll prepare our gear and continue on a leisurely hike to the Mount Batur campground. This is the perfect time for the hike because the sun is starting to set in the west and the weather isn’t too hot.

3. 

   DAY 1 - 5:15 PM Arrival at the Mount Batur Campgroud

   Upon arrival at the campsite at the summit of Mount Batur, our team will begin setting up the tents and preparing everything needed for camping. During this time, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset around the campsite.

4. 

   DAY 1 - 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Enjoying the Sunset

   These are the best times (golden hours) to enjoy the sunset from the summit of Mount Batur. You’ll witness the sky’s colors shift from orange to pink to purple. At the same time, our team will set up a bonfire and prepare dinner to get ready for a night with millions of beautiful stars.

5. 

   DAY 1 - 7:00 PM Dinner and Bonfire

   The Mount Batur Guide team will serve a freshly prepared dinner (local food) for you. You can enjoy your meal while gathering around the campfire, chatting, and taking in the starry night sky before turning in for the night.

6. 

   DAY 2 - 6:00 AM Enjoying the Sunrise from Your Tent

   Because the campsite is located at the summit of Mount Batur, you don’t need to wake up early to see the sunrise. Instead, you can enjoy the beauty of the sunrise from inside your tent.

7. 

   DAY 2 - 6:15 AM Breakfast at the Summit of Mount Batur

   Once we reach the summit, our team will serve breakfast. You can relax and enjoy your meal while taking in the beauty of the sunrise.

8. 

   DAY 2 - 6:30 AM Exploration and Photography

   We’ll take you on an exploration of Mount Batur’s three craters and help you capture your hiking experience. If you’re lucky, you’ll encounter wild monkeys that live at the summit of Mount Batur.

9. 

   DAY 2 - 7:30 AM Return to the Starting Point

   Once the sunrise is over, we’ll invite you to return down the volcano to the starting point, in Serongga village.

10. 

    DAY 2 - 10:00 AM Arrival at the Hike’s Starting Point

    After the tough climb down Mount Batur, we’ll take you to relax at a natural hot spring.

11. 

    DAY 2 - 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM Relax at Natural Hot Springs

    Relax your body with the warm waters of the natural hot springs on the edge of Lake Batur. Unwind your body and mind while enjoying the beautiful views of Lake Batur.

12. 

    DAY 2 - 11:45 AM Enjoying Coffee and Tea at a Coffee Plantation

    We’ll take you to visit one of the coffee plantations to taste various types of coffee and tea that are processed naturally and traditionally.

13. 

    DAY 2 - 12:30 PM Return to Your Hotel

    Our professional local driver will take you back to your hotel.
